Who Are Dalraidian Gaels?

Dal Riada was a Gaelic Irish kingdom which composed of the northeaster part Ireland and extended on part of the Inner Hebrides and Argyll. Founded by Fergus Mor (Fergus the great) in the 5th. Century and declined during the Viking of the 8th. century. Dunadd meaning fort on the river Add in Argyll and Bute was their ancient capital seat. Examples of Dalraidian surnames with an Irish connection are Ferguson as mentioned above and Monro meaning man from Ro. (Ro is river in Derry Ireland).
